Cookies Galore

Hi all....

I think we're all interested in beautiful ideas for Christmas gift giving or attractive food to adorn our holiday tables.

While looking around the web tonight-- trying to find some really good cookie ideas, I found this great suggestion for a cookie tray (picture above). It comes from the Wilton cake decorating website. Gorgeous spritz cookies are presented in a Christmas tree cake pan and decorated with a red bow. I think this is a wonderful idea, either to give as a gift or to add to your Christmas table.

I will most certainly make these this season.

***What's your favorite Christmas cookie?

  2. Okay, Mrs. Claus, you're puttin' me to shame. Those look divine. Would also be a great gift in a pretty cookie jar. :)

  3. So Yummy! I agree with Patty, how can you choose! So many favorites. Some that I love are rum balls, gingerbread men and anything with coconut.

  4. And you can pick up the festive tree-shaped platters in pretty golds & silvers at any of the party-supply stores for a dollar or two. I like the cookies with the cherry drops in the centers.

  5. My Christmas food is so limited these days, being diabetic. All the things I used to love I am no longer able to eat. Sighs.

  7. What a cool idea! I usually make fudge (because everyone demands that I bring fudge.. old family recipe), but I may have to make some cookies this year just so I can do this!!

  8. Oh, I love spritz cookies! My mother used to make them every single Christmas. You've brought back a happy memory - thank you!

I have to say that my favorite cookie is probably the sugar cookie with frosting, though. :-)

  9. I was remembering the cookie press cookies my mother used to make every Christmas. I used to have a cookie press, but don't even know where it is now. Not sure what happened to Mother's either. I might have to revive that tradition in our family!

  16. Astaryth- Fudge, especially the marshmallow kind...love it. I could eat a pound, at least, but then I'd be sick at the Christmas gathering...not a good thing. It's truly a weakness with me.
