Today the Saint Patrick's Day tree was dismantled and the Easter tree is now a reality in our living room. As you can see from the photo on the right, the tree is decorated with glass and fiber Easter eggs, bunnies, chicks, ducks, and butterflies.We live far from a big shopping area, so I was somewhat limited in the decor I was able to find within the last few months. But...next year I should have a bigger variety of items.
Nevertheless, this evening, Jim and I are enjoying the new addition.
What you are planning for the Easter Holiday? Do you decorate? Are you expecting company? Will there be an Easter Egg Hunt? Will you dye eggs? Are there still children in your house or will you be a part of your grandchildren's holiday?
And, of course, we will remember it's really all about Eternal Life.

Love your Easter Tree. I would imagine the kids will all come out and we will hide eggs for them. The kids are growing up though and the next generation is coming. I have not talked to them yet. We will be in Lewiston next weekend. Bless you bunches.

ReplyDeleteI love your tree. It reminded me that I need to get my Easter decorations out and decide where to put them this year as I am expecting lots of little ones to visit in about 10 days. More fun!

ReplyDeleteI love the tree! It's very lovely and very festive! I hope your Easter will be a blessed one! As for myself, I'll actually be spending it alone as all my family live spread further throughout the state and my husband will be off at school. It'll be just me and our puppies, but I'm sure I'll find some way to celebrate!

ReplyDeleteSince our families are grown and most live in other states, we will not be having a family Easter dinner and celebration. I miss all the fun of dyeing the eggs, the egg hunts and making Easter baskets.
My husband and I will be attending church service with a our church family and friends and then a quiet time together. Probably watch my old Easter Parade movie with Judy Garland.

ReplyDeleteI have company coming this year. It begins this Thurs with my youngest son's arrival - to include his wife and 2 boys. He leaves next Wed, and then my daughter arrives for 2 weeks. That means Easter will be filled with family this year. Woohoo!
I have lots of Easter decor, but mostly I see it as the season of Passover, when all that is rich about the Christian faith is summarized in one resounding proclamation: He is risen. In Him, I am passed over, and made new. It blows me away every year. Every day, actually.

We are having a quiet Easter, since my husband is on call that weekend, we have to stay within an hour of home and all of our family lives much further away than that. But we make the most of it. And Easter does fall two days after my birthday and two days before my husband's birthday. We cook a nice meal, go to services and relax.
