Grandmas Are Special People / Review
Hardcover: 48 pages
Publisher: Harvest House Publishers (July 1, 2011)
Nobody compares to a grandma. Now her children, spouse, or grandkids can give her an unforgettable thank-you to be enjoyed time after time. Artist Susan Winget’s soft florals, sweet bluebirds, cheery porcelain teacups, and ruby apples join engaging reflections about the unique heritage a grandma creates for her family. Each section reminds a woman that she is, among many things, a model of wisdom, faith, beauty, and love.
Special occasions and ordinary days present the golden opportunity to honor a grandma for the joy, prayers, and generous acts of devotion she graciously gives to her family.
I read this book in one evening and thought it to be a beautiful tribute to grandmothers. The illustrations are gorgeous, and the quotes and meditations are truly inspirational. I absolutely love it. I highly recommend it as a gift or as a "grandma gift" to self. (Thanks goes to Harvest House Publishers for my review copy!) 5 stars*****
