I try to be grateful for each new day that I am priviledged to wake up and enjoy--although this was a COLD one. Actually, it was 70 degrees when I left for the gym at 6:00 and 8 minutes later it was 58--a 12 point drop in temperature. Now it is in the 40s so it is a good night for a pot of soup which I have put to simmer on my stove! Yum!

Barb Davis said...

Shauna- I'm going over to your place right now!

Barb Davis said...

Pat- What a drastic drop in temp. Enjoy that soup!! Sounds yummy!!!!

My plan is to step outside of myself and care for others.

My plans for this new day, literally, are a trip to DMV to renew my license, then a trip to college campus with my daughter. They're on spring break now, but she's changing her major and needs to complete paperwork. I'm going along for the ride, and a coffee in a great old fashioned coffeeshop along the way.

Barb Davis said...

Kathryn- As you well know, caring for others is emotionally and spiritually rewarding.

My plans for today were to have coffee with a friend--done--get home in time to see Coleman--done--work with Beautiful and the other horses--go to Coleman's game and barbecue a pork I've been marinating for two days. Oh, and I need to get a check in the mail for my new halter Andrea's making for me. It's a busy one! Wish you were up here with us!!

Barb Davis said...

Joanne- Have a wonderful day with your daughter.

And...your package may arrive tomorrow. Enjoy!

Barb Davis said...

Linda- Wow, you're busy... and I hope the sun in out by now. Stay safe. We'll be coming back in a couple of weeks.

It's to live intentionally, and well. I have all three of my sisters in town, and I can tell you we're having a blast. We're eating way too much (on purpose), so next week I'll have to use my gift on all things lettuce (reluctantly on purpose)

Barb Davis said...

Kathleen- Oh, what fun you must be having at this very moment! Enjoy those sisters and diet later.

My plan for today is to stay warm and watch the sunshine. It was so cold here this morning! 24 degrees!

Barb Davis said...

Becca- Stay warm and enjoy the beauty all around. Blessings.

To see it for what it really is, through His eyes.

Barb Davis said...

Janna- That's something we should all wish for...to see everything through His eyes. Someday we will.

I'm a little late catching up on blog reading today, so my day is almost over. I did manage to get several things done on "my to do list" which was satisfying. But at the top of every day's list is to thank God for his never ending grace, mercy, love, forgiveness and blessings! I never run out of thank yous!

My plan today was to do a wee bit of self-pampering, in the form of getting these roots dyed. I also visited all my favorite blogs today and plan on going to bed early so I can go back to being the care giver at Mom's tomorrow.

My plan, every day, is to make the most of it ... to enjoy everything and tell my family that I love them.

One simple phrase can generate so much thought. Thank you for that!

BTW ... I hope you'll be celebrating Earth Hour 2009. :)

I just read your blog but tomorrow my gift will be to do some things for me like going to the used book store and stocking up on reading material for the next month. I need to make an appointment for the massage I got for christmas and have not used. Today I finished the laundry and gave a riding lesson in the very cold and snow.

Barb Davis said...

Lea- You amaze me...especially those riding lessons in the cold weather!! You are one strong woman.

Today I plan to think positively!
