Like most of you, I have many interests--one of them being "reality" shows. I spent last evening watching two of my favorites--"The Bachelor" and "True Beauty." I, especially, like "True Beauty" because a young man from our little town is a contestant. His name on the show is Billy. He owns our local GNC store at the mall.
My favorite "reality" TV shows are:
1. Survivor
2. Dancing With The Stars
3. American Idol
4. True Beauty
5. The Bachelor
6. Big Brother
***Do you have favorites? Which ones are they?

I confess that I am also a fan of reality television. Survivor is my favorite and my daughters and I cried watching the Bachelor last night. Stephanie wasn't right for him, but she left with such grace and dignity. We're a bunch of goofballs over here.;-)
Karen- I was so sorry to see Stephanie leave. She is a beautiful person...inside and out. I just wonder if Deanna is going to come back in a couple of weeks and break his heart again.
Survivor is our favorite, too. We have watched it every year. My favorite contestant was Ozzy. Remember him?
Yep, I'm hooked on the Bachelor too. I sometimes wonder why, because I'm often appalled at some of the more aggressive moves the women make.
I also like American Idol and Dancing With the Stars, and even Intervention. Beyond that, give me the whodunnit's of the real life forensic programs, or anything about Planet Earth.
Kathleen
Kathleen- I know what you mean about the women. It takes a lot of nerve to make some of those moves in front of millions of viewers and to open one's self up in such intimate ways.
Last night I read a book throughout the commercials and finished it today. At my age, there's not a moment to waste!!!LOL.
American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars are two of the ones from your list that I enjoy watching.
JD- Jim and I watch American Idol together and we can hardly wait until Dancing With The Stars comes back. Don't you just love the elegance of ballroom dancing? I had no idea I would like something like it so much-- not to mention Jim. It's the last thing I thought manly-man, like him, would watch (he LOVES it)!! I think it's a MUST SEE program.
I like the goofy reality shows like Greatest American Dog and Project Runway and Shear Genius.
I used to watch Bachelor but when they never married after the show, then I was disappointed and just stopped watching it.
I only watch American Idol, but even then, not much until they finish all this preliminary stuff going on. I don't really care for the 4th judge, she seems to take away from the original 3's chemistry. What do you think of her?
I rarely watch the reality shows! I've never seen most of those...I have watched American Idol, but I've only seen the entire season maybe once or twice....
Maybe I'm missing out, huh? laughing....
Daydreams- I stopped watching too, but started again when Jason came along. So now I'm hooked again.
Even though I watch, I don't like how they play around with the contestant's emotions.
Joanne- It's difficult watching all of the silly performers at the beginning of the season. The actual contest is certainly the best.
The fourth judge seems a bit out of place..maybe that's because I'm not used to seeing her. I do like having two women as judges. I think it will take some of the spotlight off of Paula, too, which may be a good thing.
Kathryn- There's so much pain, fear, and back-biting in the world--on the nightly news programs, talk shows, newpapers, internet...it's all around us. It's kind of nice to relax and get out of all of that for little awhile.
Dancing With The Stars is just wonderful as a relaxing evening show. Did I say show? I mean escape! lol
I'm a big fan of American Idol. It's the only show I get to watch (single mother of 3!), and my kiddos like to watch it too. Most of the time we're too busy for tv, but I do like catching Dancing With The Stars too.
Thanks for coming by today, I had a great time reading through your latest posts!
