Tucker James Is Home

We brought Tucker James home from the hospital this morning. He was so glad to be in the car and talked all the way home! The staff at the clinic all really loved him and came out to say good-bye. They said that he is such a gentle, sweet boy. *lots of smiles from me*

He still has a bladder infection, but the vet let him come home to rest and get well. He's on antibiotics and we have been ask to bring him back daily until he's completely over the infection. There will be no charge for those little visits, which makes me happy!!

Now it's just a matter of him eating his special food, taking his medicine, and resting.
(He looks angry in the photo, but in reality he's a gentle giant.)

I'm so glad he is at home and feeling better!

Missy- He still isn't 'peeing' as much as he should. They think his bladder is too irritated.

Yay! I hope he'll soon be out of the woods.

Linda- He's being a good patient--eating good, drinking his water, and 'peeing'a little at a time...all good signs!

I'm glad Tucker James is back home Barbara! He must be on the mend when they've allowed him to go. I love his beautiful almond-shaped eyes. :)

Great news! Sounds like Tucker James is happy to be home. Cats are so sociable sometimes. One of my cats used to wink at me...he'd stop and cock his head while he was doing it. I can't have animals now because my husband is allergic. =(

I am so glad to see that Tucker James is home and expected to make a complete recovery. It is so important to stick to the special food. In my case, my LeLoup never had the problem again and I credit that to the food and a lot of fresh water.

Barb Davis said...

Carmen- What a cute and unusual thing--that winking!! That story makes me smile.

Patricia- He thought he was going to come home and enjoy the same old food and routine. He's looking everywhere for his old food. He even cries for it.

I take him back to the vet this morning. I hope he's ok.

what a blessing that your little guy was able to come home. Of course he is much more comfortable than being at the vets. That means he will heal faster. I'm sure you feel much better.
Have a wonderful week,
Jolyn

Barb Davis said...

Jolyn- Yes, he is very comfortable at home. He's sleeping and eating well. So far, he's making progress.

Hope Tucker James is doing much better.

I assume that Tucker James has gotten accustomed to his new food. A friend once said, "He (his cat) wouldn't touch the food the first day but it really looked good on the second day." It is a matter of getting used to the new food. There are several brands of this prescription food so you may want to test him with different ones.
