A Hot Bath In Cocoa

Yesterday I came across this interesting recipe for homemade bath salts. It sounds like a nice, inexpensive gift idea. Just combine the ingredients, put it in a pretty jar, tie a ribbon with a note around the lid, and give it to a family member, friend, co-worker, or guest.

Cocoa Bath Salts De-Stress Recipe

Ingredients:

1/8 cup Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder

1/8 cup powdered milk

1/4 cup Epsom salts

1 tablespoon baking soda

1 tablespoon cornstarch

Optional: 2 to 3 drops lavender essential oil.

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined and then add as the bath water is running.

A hot bath in cocoa! What could be more relaxing than that?

Wow! That title grabbed me! And the recipe seems like a wonderful one. I think I have most of the ingredients and might just give it a try myself! Thanks!

Now that's taking chocolate to an extreme! We sometimes give framed groupings of family photos of a special event or place. Kind of like giving a memory.

I made frames one year for pictures of Bob and I. It was taken just beofre our 50th. anniversary, I have bought inexpensive bath towels and appliqued things on them, added lace on girls ect. and this year am making soft fluffy pillow for grandkids. Your chocolate bath sounds like something our youngest daughter might try drinking.

Interesting idea. I do have a mocha candle I purchased recently burning as I write--and I love the smell. Actually, I bought about 15 of them--they were on sell for 99 cents. I could burn a few of those--except I don't take baths anymore--only showers. Our house came with a big double jetted tub which, because of our bad water pressure--would take about two days to fill. Therefore, the water would be cold. It looks good though--when I vacume the dust out, that is.

Janna- Sounds to me, you like cocoa.

Lea- Your gifts, I know, are made with loving hands.

Linda- That's too bad about your wonderful tub.

Lol, I would end up lying in the bath and drinking it.
