My Goal Is?

I know we haven't yet celebrated Christmas, but.....

The new year will be here soon and most of us will want to improve our lives by setting goals for ourselves. I seem to always have five or six I'm working on and actually accomplish a few of them by the end of the year.

This year I intend to concentrate on a quote I read this evening. I'll post it in my journal and read it daily.

"Get into the habit of dealing with God about everything. Unless in the first waking moment of the day you learn to fling the door wide back and let God in, you will work on a wrong level all day; but swing the door wide open and pray to your Father in secret, and every public thing will be stamped with the presence of God." -Oswald Chambers

That is a wonderful goal. I think that is one I will also adopt.

Thanks for this message today that I so needed to hear! I often rush ahead with my ideas and plans instead of lifting them in prayer and waiting on the Lord. My new year's resolution is to open my door and invite the Lord in and have His way with me!

Joyous blessings to you and yours!

That sounds like a very important one to begin with, and I should adopt it, as well. Thanks for sharing it, Barbara!

That's a great quote, Barbara! I'm going to put it in my journal that I've started and adopt it as one of my mail goals.

Another of my goals is to be more organized in all areas of my life.

Oh Barbara, One of my goals for this next year is not to have such high expectations of the people around me that I love, that I always feel let down when they don't meet them. Maybe your quote is one that will help me with that too. Have a wonderful holiday with your family.
