The Finished Spirit
Heaven.
Where is the wise man
The rabbi
The sage
The prophet
The Finished Spirit?
Dwelling in the higher abode
In the full brilliance
Of God.
Another Kingdom
Where knowledge
And inspiration
Continue the unbroken thread;
Reaching beyond
The zenith
To the fullness
Of the cosmos.
To understand
To fathom the totality
Of Creation
Is their reward.

Beautiful - both picture and poetry!
I find myself pondering heaven, and even Him, more-and-more as I age onward.
Hubby and I have this little saying about the state of our present condition (especially when a particularly tough day hits) wherein we can be heard to say: "I'm packed". It's as if we're simply waiting for a ride to the airport.
I love life - and all that's rich about the process of living. Even so, the possibilities of reaching beyond the zenith are welcome thought-invaders.

Lovely reading for a rainy Saturday morning.
Beautiful poem - I particularly like "the finished spirit" ...ahhh...
And, I have that music you are playing - love it - in fact, you reminded me it's been a while since I've played that cd. I'm going to do that today.
I think more and more, between my friends (like Angie) and blogfriends that I am finding my faith again. Wouldn't that be something? ...? could it be happening? I don't know -- I'll wait and see....
Your site is truly serene! I just love visiting here. Many days in a row I find myself in a rut with life. Always taking care of people, kids, babies, house work and never time for myself. Coming by your place sparks the desire to read more, get out more, and be more thankful for the blessings God has given me.
FYI - I received the lovely blue scarf a few days ago. Being that I have a website called "The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Scarf" it was great to receive such a lovely gift. Thank you.
Your poem, "The Finished Spirit", is a beautiful 'word picture' of heaven.
Have a blessed weekend.
Sassy Granny- Very few of us can say that "I'm packed"....what a great place to be in your faith.
Angie- Wishing you a warm cozy day.
Kathryn- I'm looking forward to becoming a "finished spirit" but it's certainly going to take awhile longer. I am always seeking and learning from His transforming love.
Mrs. Mac- I'm so happy to hear your scarf arrived safely.
Please come by often. I love reading your comments. Blessings.
Beautiful poem -I'm so glad to 'meet' you!
jinksy- So glad you stopped by! Please come back again soon.
