A Personal Hero

First graders were asked to write about their personal heroes. One little girl wrote about her father. Her father was flattered to find out that she had chosen him. "Why did you pick me?" he ask.
"Because I couldn't spell Arnold Schwarzenegger." she replied.

***Who is/are your personal hero/heroes?

Don't forget my March 1st Giveaway (rules are in the right-hand column).

From the mouth of babes. I have many personal heroes, one of which is my dad.

One of the sweetest things Bob ever got was for fathers day one year. Our grandson Tyler who lived with us nearly 2 years, in 2nd. grade wrote a Hero page and it was his grandpa. Nikki framed it and gave it to her dad for Fathers day that year. My hero is our friend Janet that lives inPuyallup. When she had 4 small children, her husband Tom was injured and was quadroplegic from that day foreward. I never heard her complain or give Tom a harsh word in their 45 years of marriage. Tom passed away 2 years ago. She is writing a book about their life. True love between them always.

Lol, I would have difficulty in spelling Arnie's full name also!

My personal hero is my hubby who overcame an addiction some 15 years or so ago and has never looked back. He's become a truly strong person, great husband and the best of dads to our children. :)

My hero is my son A. He is in a nursing facility. He is going to be 20 soon and has the mental capacity of a child under the age of one. He has been through more in his life than I have ever been through in mine and I do not know how he does it.
