Yummy Cherry Cobbler

2 (20 ounce) cans cherry pie filling

1 package white cake mix

1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted

1 (4 ounce) package slivered almonds (optional)

1. Spread pie filling in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
2. Sprinkle cake mix over the cherries.
3. Drizzle melted margarine over top. Sprinkle almonds over the top.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Top with whipped topping. Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite desserts and I've made it many times over the last 40+ years. You may have made it, too. If you haven't, you might like to try it.

I don't think I've ever seen a recipe so simple that looks so good. I've never made it, but will def give it a try.

Sounds great! I have a pot luck dinner to go to Sunday night. I believe I will make it up and have it ready.

Good thing that cobbler's not in my house right now. I'd eat the whole thing! This is an awesome camping dessert too, done in a dutch oven. *drooling*

Thanks for the recipe. My husband and grandson who lives with us love desserts. I made one similar to it with apples (fresh)and I added a can of whole cranberries. It is so good.
