How Happy Are You?

Angie over at Gumbo Writer challenged her bloggy friends to participate in the meme, "Six Things That Make Me Happy."

Here are six of mine:
1. Family gatherings
2. My relationship with my Heavenly Father
3. Riley (my mini-schnauzer)
4. My indoor Serenity Room
5. Getting a phone call from an old friend
6. My Valentine Tree

There are soooo many reasons to be happy, aren't there? I could go on and on. The six things listed are only "a drop in the bucket." Blessings are all around us, just waiting to be acknowledged.

***Now it's your turn. Will you take the challenge?

I just mentioned to my daughter the other day that my brain is wired optimistic/happy. Blessings abound even is the ashes of sorrow. You have only to look ... they're right in front if you.

1. Heartfelt love for the Lord Jesus
2. A warm fire in the hearth at home
3. A cup of tea and good conversation with my daughter Ann.
4. A kiss and pat on the shoulder from my little grandson
5. My husband's warm embrace
6. The fruit/veggies from my garden

You are right ... only a drop in the bucket :)

Mrs. Mac- You are so blessed to be naturally "wired" that way. It's a

1. My family who are always supportive and "there" for me.
2. My best friend and spouse.
3. My cat who lavishes "kisses" on us every day.
4. The birds that come to our feeders.
5. Breathing.

But as you said ... there are so many more. We just have to look with an optimistic heart. :)

How do you narrow it to 6?
1. My children living and the 2 with Jesus.
2. Grandchildrens kisses and hugs
3. My poodle Skeeter
4. My friend Louise that I have had since we were 4
5. My relationship with Jesus which I probably should have listed first.
6. My husband of 51 1/2 years. He loves me "anyway"

Lea- Thanks so much for sharing. It's difficult to choose just six.

I believe if we want to be happy no matter the situation is we will be happy. There is no person in the world who can make you happy or sad. Life is as beautiful as you want to make it. I believe in the quote "If life gives you 100 reasons to be sad, give life thousand reasons to be happy". There will be a day when sadness will lose in front of our happy attitude
