"You must have a place to which you can go in your heart, your mind, or your house, almost everyday, where you do not owe anyone and where no one owes you--a place that simply allows for the blossoming of something new and promising."

Key To Success
We've all heard the saying...."a little less talk and a little more action."
When it comes to success, I can only claim One source: My Lord! For years I ran my own life (and quite poorly I might add). When He saved me, He made me new ... To this day I am flabbergasted by what He does in my life. If there are successes (and there are), He certainly deserves the applause.
Let me just say that He's forged in me a tenacity to stick to it (whatever "it" is), to not take myself or others too seriously, and to live intentionally. Great recipe for good things!
Any success I've had has begun with the grace, mercy and blessings of the Lord. With those, I have overcome great odds, trials and tribulations that seemed insurmountable.
I am liking the "less talk" part this afternoon after most of our 30family members left for home and the others went shopping. Whew! I am about talked out!
If I have had success it is because of the grace of God and my trust in Him. AND the love of my husband despite my independent spirit that has gotten in the way.
The support and acceptance from my husband and family goes a LONG ways with me. One thing I do know is that my successes may not look like like much to the "world" but boy howdy do I know what they are and how much they mean to me.
I don't think I have a key to success. My life runs to the pattern of learning by my mistakes.... until the next one! lol But I'm enjoying reading what everyone else has to say. :)
Hi Barbara - Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate your comment. You have a beautiful blog. Re: Today's Question, I try to keep in mind that they may be having a bad day and are perhaps quite nice under normal circumstances. If it's continuous that they are difficult, I continue to be nice to them.
My key to success might be the fact that I am persistent. I do not give up very easy, and at time think that I may be fearless. But most of all, I think that I am this way becasue I have learned from my mistakes. You know how sometimes you just don't want to do something, because you don't think it will work out? I have now learned that I should just do it, because it never hurts to try...and it usually works out for me!
Frist let me thank you for sharing your blog and thoughts, success, well Im working now to keep being focused on what I do, yes I now make lists, and I enjoy all good things that happens every day.

The best things in life are truly free!
Becca- It's the blessed person who finds that secret out early in life.

Kathleen- Thanks so much for sharing such personal thoughts with us.
Focus ande discipline work for me. Job-hopping and disorganization throw me right off schedule, so I try to always stay focused on the task at hand.
Joanne- Focus is so important, isn't it? It has taken me years to develop that skill and I'm still working on it as I write.
I have always been a list-maker. I can't get through the day without one.

"To God be the glory. Great things He has done!"
Donna- Yes, nothing we do is out of His sight and grace.

I think I've found the key to happiness, which I hope equates to true success--do what you love--love what you do.
