The best things in life are truly free!

Becca- It's the blessed person who finds that secret out early in life.

When it comes to success, I can only claim One source: My Lord! For years I ran my own life (and quite poorly I might add). When He saved me, He made me new ... To this day I am flabbergasted by what He does in my life. If there are successes (and there are), He certainly deserves the applause.

Let me just say that He's forged in me a tenacity to stick to it (whatever "it" is), to not take myself or others too seriously, and to live intentionally. Great recipe for good things!

Focus ande discipline work for me. Job-hopping and disorganization throw me right off schedule, so I try to always stay focused on the task at hand.

Barb Davis said...

Joanne- Focus is so important, isn't it? It has taken me years to develop that skill and I'm still working on it as I write.

I have always been a list-maker. I can't get through the day without one.

Any success I've had has begun with the grace, mercy and blessings of the Lord. With those, I have overcome great odds, trials and tribulations that seemed insurmountable.

"To God be the glory. Great things He has done!"

Barb Davis said...

Donna- Yes, nothing we do is out of His sight and grace.

I am liking the "less talk" part this afternoon after most of our 30family members left for home and the others went shopping. Whew! I am about talked out!

Barb Davis said...

Pat- I hope you had lots of help with that many people visiting.

If I have had success it is because of the grace of God and my trust in Him. AND the love of my husband despite my independent spirit that has gotten in the way.

Barb Davis said...

Lea- What wonderful blessings...your Heavenly Father and a loving husband.

The support and acceptance from my husband and family goes a LONG ways with me. One thing I do know is that my successes may not look like like much to the "world" but boy howdy do I know what they are and how much they mean to me.

Barb Davis said...

Nikki- The most important thing is to know and have confidence in ourselves. Good for you!!

Hi Barbara. :)

I don't think I have a key to success. My life runs to the pattern of learning by my mistakes.... until the next one! lol But I'm enjoying reading what everyone else has to say. :)

I think I've found the key to happiness, which I hope equates to true success--do what you love--love what you do.

Hi Barbara -
Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate your comment. You have a beautiful blog. Re: Today's Question, I try to keep in mind that they may be having a bad day and are perhaps quite nice under normal circumstances. If it's continuous that they are difficult, I continue to be nice to them.

My key to success might be the fact that I am persistent. I do not give up very easy, and at time think that I may be fearless. But most of all, I think that I am this way becasue I have learned from my mistakes. You know how sometimes you just don't want to do something, because you don't think it will work out? I have now learned that I should just do it, because it never hurts to try...and it usually works out for me!

Barb Davis said...

Lesley- It sounds like you live a life of adventure! You are not afraid of failure.

Barb Davis said...

LInda- I think you've found the real key to happiness!

I notice you say you are a list maker; me too. A desperate one! I guess that could be my key to success - although the door hasn't opened as yet!
