What's Your Blog?

When I created my blog, over six months ago, I thought it would be a somewhat isolated place where I would publish some of my thoughts and practice my writing. Over time it has evolved into many things, not the least of which is a virtual magazine of women's issues and interests. Some of my posts are a bit serious and some are trivial and fun, but all are designed to elicit thought and conversation.

Whatever this blog has developed into, I have taken enormous pleasure in producing something that, I hope, holds the interest of my readers. Whether it is my own creative personal writing, book reviews, family happenings, news items, movie reviews, or contests, it is fun to open the blog each morning and see the friendly and engaging comments from all of you.

Blogging. What a wonderful experience in social connection! It has taken me into an expansive world that, in the beginning, I did not expect.

Barbara, I have to first say that I so enjoy the thoughts and effort you put into your blog. I'm glad it's something you're willing to share with us, because it's such a warm and comforting place to come.

I started my blog (a little over a year ago) as a way to get my name out there and express a little bit about my writing world. It's turned into something greater than I could have imagined, with great feedback and a phenomenal following, one I trust and enjoy. :)

I should say I didn't find my "voice" right away. I had some trial and error as I figured out the best way to navigate my presence. And it's been a wonderful experience!

Janna- I am soooo glad you like it here. I love sharing and getting feedback with my readers.

Yes, it certainly takes time for us to figure out our focus and what works. As for me, I found it in sharing my true self.

My blog is utilitarian. I began blogging with the other women of Moms Daughters and Horses in '07 as part of "Barn Talk"--and then expanded to my own private blog for Mustang gentlers when I adopted a wild Mustang filly in May '08. The community of bloggers helped me gentle her within a month of bringing her home, so we could get her feet trimmed. Yahoo!

I started my blog as a way to share my writing journey but along the way it has developed into much more as I meet more and more wonderful blogging friends!
Janna is right--this is such a warm and inviting place and that's why I like visiting here.

I started my blog when I took on a Mustang Challenge Yearling. It was a way for my family to keep up with what I was doing and friends also and to let people know I needed support. Now that Sierra is with a new home in Reno, I just kept writing. Have made new friends this way too and that is wonderful.

My blog started out as a way to share experiences with my children. It has become such a blessing to me. I have met some wonderful women in blogosphere! I love having a place to write as I try to find my voice.

P.S. I love your Serenity Gate!

First.. HI! and thanks for finding me at Adventures.

Hmmm... originally my blog was made because I discovered AOL Journals and was reading people and leaving comments. Several said my comments would make good Journal entries.. why not give it a try... So, I did. My blog is many things. A place I go to say Hi. A showcase for my photos that no one but me sees otherwise. A place where I've made a lot of friends. Unfortunately it is also a thing that isn't at the top of my priority list and real life causes me to go long periods some times without a post.. but, when I return all of my friends are here waiting for me ;)
