4th of July Tree

Most of you may remember that I've been doing Holiday Trees for our home all year.

I've decorated a St. Patrick's Day tree, Valentine's Day tree, and an Easter tree.

I now have our festive 4th of July tree, ready to enjoy, for a couple of months.

Hope you like it.

We live in a dangerous period of time. My prayer is that God will be with, and protect America!

Barbara, that's a fantastic tree and sooooo American. lol! I don't think you could have got more 'stars and stripes' than this. It's fab!

I echo your sentiments on your country and it's great to see President Obama reaching out to Muslim countries in the name of peace.

What a lovely little tree. I hope don't have any little live firecrackers on the tree, someone might light one.

I love your tree. Always fun to see what you have done with it.

I do much the same thing with my wicker broom on my gate. I originally picked it up and decorated it for Halloween last year. I liked it and have just been changing the decorations for the seasons. After Halloween I decorated it for Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then V-day, then spring/Easter, and last week I changed it up for the 4th. It's nice to have something a little festive on the gate, and I enjoy finding the flowers/ribbons/etc for each Holiday/Season.

The tree looks lovely again! I think it is such a good idea to do this, but I wonder what your husband thinks of the everlasting tree? Is he with you or not?

Lesley- It's nice to be able to enjoy it for the next couple of months in red, white, and blue. After that, it will be decorated in orange and white for the Tennessee Vols football season!!

Patty- No firecrackers, but hey, that's an idea!!!

Star- Bless his heart...my husband loves the holiday tree. He gets a big kick out of the decor and lights. And it is actually 100 times prettier than the photo.

I think I want something to decorate for the seasons. Don't have room for a tree but something. Maybe when the siding gets on the house and the porch done I can do something there. You have me thinking.

Lea- My tree takes up a lot of wall space, but Jim and I love it, so far, anyway. But I think there would be many things you could substitute for a tree. Keep us posted.
